High up in the Swiss Alps, a mountain station is being re-imagined – for example, by transforming a transmission tower into a modern steel-and-glass construction. In the future, the new Titlis Tower will not only welcome visitors with its gastronomy, but will also offer them panoramic views of the surrounding mountainscape. All this has been made possible by a range of facade, surface and suspended scaffolding, as well as shoring structures. Thanks to the versatility of Allround Scaffolding and matching extension parts, such as the high-strength Aluminium FlexBeam, all these structures – including cantilever structures of up to 15 m in length – were assembled without difficulty using a single system. The lightweight, compact, yet nevertheless strong components guaranteed efficient logistics and rapid assembly of scaffolding material weighing up to 300 tonnes. A system-oriented solution.
